United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women at Lee Road UMC are organized into small groups. Currently there are two circles that meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The Nancy Howard Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. and the Ethel Smith Friendship Circle meets at 7:00 p.m. Women between the ages of 13 and 30 may join Limitless which meets virtually in South Carolina. There are also events held in conjunction with United Methodist Women throughout the Upstate, the state and country. The purpose of the United Methodist Women is to provide opportunities to grow spiritually, equip women and girls to be leaders, provide transformative educational experiences and work for justice through service and advocacy with a focus on women and children.
United Methodist Men
UMM is a supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and seek His will each day. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. Our goal is
to increase our church’s effectiveness in mission and ministry to men and their families through opportunities not available through any other source. Our mission is the discipleship of men for Christ by encouraging and equipping men to become men of God in all aspects of their lives. At Lee Road UMC we use our skills and talents, along with monies raised, to make repairs and improvements to the church facilities and grounds. We meet monthly to share a meal, listen to a special speaker, and to make plans on how we can serve our church, community, and Jesus Christ.
Young at Heart
Young at Heart is for all seniors! YAH meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from September through May for Christian fellowship. It begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Social Hall with an inspirational speaker or special program followed by a delicious lunch at 12:00 noon.
Older Adult Ministry
The Older Adult Ministry is a committee that ensures that the homebound members are not forgotten by bringing sunshine into their lives and brightening their day by sending cards, making phone calls, and visits if possible. On occasion, small arrangements are made from Sanctuary flowers and delivered to those who are homebound. On the first Sunday of the month a team of volunteers from the OAM take the Lord's Supper to those unable to attend worship. These homebound members were at one time regularly active at Lee Road and a blessing to us all as they shared their God given gifts. The Older Adult Ministry wants to be a blessing, a friend and encourager to our homebound friends.
